Our Story
OJU Vision was founded from a personal understanding of how important sight is to everyday life.
Our founder, Tosin Adebanjo, was diagnosed with keratoconus in 2011, a progressive eye condition that affects the shape of the cornea and can significantly impact vision. Living with the condition has provided first-hand insight into the challenges that vision problems can create and the difference that access to appropriate eye care and support can make.
Inspired by these experiences, OJU Vision was established with a simple belief: no child should be disadvantaged because of preventable or undetected vision problems.
Through awareness, education, community partnerships, and future eye health initiatives, we aim to help children access the support they need to see clearly, learn confidently, and achieve their full potential.

Tosin Adebanjo
Founder & Director
Tosin Adebanjo is the Founder and Director of OJU Vision, a long-distance runner, fundraiser, and advocate for children's eye health.
Having lived with keratoconus since 2011, Tosin understands first-hand the challenges that vision conditions can create and the life-changing impact that access to eye care and support can have. His personal experience inspired him to establish OJU Vision with a simple belief: no child should be disadvantaged because of preventable or undetected vision problems.
Passionate about making a difference, Tosin combines community engagement, fundraising, and endurance challenges to raise awareness of eye health and support initiatives that improve opportunities for children. Through participation in marathons, international running events, and a Guinness World Record challenge, he uses sport as a platform to inspire change and support OJU Vision's mission.
Living with keratoconus inspired Tosin to create OJU Vision and work towards a future where children have access to the eye care, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
His vision is simple: a future where every child can see clearly, learn confidently, and reach their full potential.
"Good vision can change a child's future. Through OJU Vision, I hope to help more children see clearly, learn confidently, and realise their potential."

Our Mission
At OJU Vision, our mission is to improve access to eye care and vision support for children in underserved communities.
We aim to raise awareness of eye health, promote early vision screening, and develop initiatives that help children access the support they need to see clearly, learn confidently, and reach their full potential.
By working alongside schools, healthcare professionals, volunteers, donors, and community partners, we strive to create lasting opportunities through better vision and improved eye health.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every child has access to the eye care, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Over the next 5 to 10 years, OJU Vision aims to establish sustainable school-based eye health programmes, build strong partnerships with educational and healthcare organisations, and expand our reach to support children across multiple communities.
Our long-term goal is to become a trusted organisation that improves awareness, access, and outcomes in children's eye health, helping create brighter futures through clear vision.
